Connect your SPD-SX to your Mac or iPhone with a USB cable. The device mounts as a USB storage volume. When you open SPD-SX Manager, tap or click "Select Volume" and choose the SPD-SX from the list. The app will load your kits, waves, and settings automatically.
If you don't have your device handy, tap "Try Without a Device" on the welcome screen to explore the app with built-in sample data.
My SPD-SX isn't showing up in the volume picker.
Make sure the device is connected via USB and powered on. On Mac, check that it appears in Finder as a connected drive. On iPhone, you may need to approve the connection on the device itself.
I made changes but nothing saved.
Changes are written to the device as you make them. If something doesn't look right after editing, try tapping Refresh to reload from the device.
Can I use the app without my SPD-SX?
Yes. Use "Try Without a Device" on the welcome screen to explore the app with sample data. You can also open a backup folder and edit it directly, then restore to your device later.
What's the difference between Backup and regular editing?
When connected to the device, edits go directly to the SPD-SX. Backup saves a complete copy to a folder on your Mac or iPhone. You can open that backup later, make changes, and restore it to the device.
Will this work with the SPD-SX Pro?
No. The SPD-SX Pro uses a different file format. This app supports the original SPD-SX only.
Still stuck? Send an email and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
